Chothia Brothers was established in 1976, and initially the main area of business was the wholesale of zips and haberdashery. The co-owner, Mr Moosa Chothia learnt the zipper trade working for YKK ZIPPERS for 12 years, and then decided it was time to start off on his own in 1976.
The initial stages of the business was indeed very humble, with operations taking place from Mr Chothia’s garage, and many times, Mr Chothia would hand dye zips himself to meet the individual customer needs. In 1996, Mr Chothia’s son, Mustafa, who is a qualified pharmacist decided to join the company, and a bit further down the line, it was decided that Chothia Bros could further satisfy the market through the import and wholesale of fabric to the corporate wear, leisure wear and security wear industries.
Today, fabric makes up the bulk of our business, and constant strides are being made to satisfy our expanding customer base. At Chothia Bros, we pride ourselves in putting quality first, and every effort is made to ensure consistency of quality, while at the same time striving to ensure that stock levels remain consistent. With agents sourcing from all over the world, we are constantly on the look out for changing trends, whilst ensuring we never lose that personal touch.
